Coming from the family inhabited, traditional winery Ewald Lunkenheimer in Wallhausen in South Germany, this non-alcoholic juice is in fact far from restraining. The rich, berry-like flavours supported solely by the grapes’s own sugars conjure a profile of taste that is playfully pure. By hitting 96 degrees on the oechsle scale (a density based measurement for quality in grapes) the berries harvested in September 2018 are certified high grade. The vineyard referred to as Wallhäuser Backöfchen which translates to Wallhausen’s oven or furnace because of its microclimate was planted with Scheurebe strains back in 1989. It’s soil is mostly influenced by aquatic sedimentations stemming from the quaternary age. Our excklusive TISSUE Juice is vegan processed and bottled without sulfur. So why do we call them ’shy grapes‘ when there is so much to brag about?
We simply fell for the wordplay on the grape strains cultivator Georg Scheu with his surname translating to ‘shy’ and in consequence we got a massive understatement. A stunning surprise to experience in opulence without concern — you might not feel untill it smacks you.
The label’s subtle design by Johannah West with the almost hidden ‘shy grape’ reference is an opposition to overwhelmingly pitoresque compositions promoting mediocre products.
